The donations just poured in -

This June, over 50 of our neighbors and friends lost their homes in a 100 foot wall of flame fueled by fierce, dry winds.  Many of us want to help but don't know just how.  Donations of items have flooded in but of those who lost their homes, many are just putting together the course they will take.  We hope to help them in a "smart" way and make the best of all the good will and desire to give that is out there.

Some folks who lost their homes have insurance and some don't.  We believe everyone could use some help.  We hope this blog will be a way to sensitively find out and convey what our neighbors need in material things, services, information and support - and then step up to the job at the right time, and with the tools needed.

If you have lost your home, please accept our offer of help.  We believe the devastation is too great to fall solely on your shoulders.  Any of us could have been in your situation.  Maybe someday we will be and will need your help.  Our goal is to work to locate and bring the resources you need, whether you plan to stay in the Indianola area or move away.  Please contact us by email to get started helping you with your long and short-term needs.

We hope you will also visit the Fairview Relief Center at 40 S. State - just pop in to Time & Again Thrift during business hours for access to the Center.  Our inventory is growing daily plus we can likely get in what you need with a bit of notice.  We have some free storage available for your non-food items.  Donated furniture and toys are available through The Corner Station at 111 S. State in Fairview.  Just drop in there between 10-6pm, Mon - Sat or call 435-427-5500.

Volunteers to sort donations and maintain the center are also greatly needed.  Hope to see you soon!
